Born in Mumbai, India; I moved to the US in 2012 and have been a Bay Area native since 2014. I was a Front-End Engineer for 3 years, but I would often hang out with my designers picking their brains on design stuff– so much that I decided to become a designer myself.
Over the years, I have evolved in my design career, but I continue to be your poster-boy Generalist Designer, and will hope to always be one. I hope to never lose touch with slinging pixels (regardless of those pixels landing on mobile, desktop or ambient computing) but more and more I spend my time on Design Strategy and team building. I still try and not lose touch of my Eng roots by prototyping (Framer!), building plugins, tools, etc whenever I get a chance.
When I am not working, I am still "designing" – I enjoy making Stop Motion Animations, Paper-Cut Art, tinkering with Home Automation to build the ultimate Smart Home or writing Poetry.
